Garth Turner Punted from Caucus
CTV is reporting that Conservative MP Garth Turner is being kicked out of the Conservative caucus.
Yet another sign of a party unwilling to listen to other ideas or deal with dissent. I've always respected Garth and found him to be extremely willing to discuss other ideas and approaches. You can show your support for Garth at his blog found here.
UPDATE: Although I encourage you to still go to his blog and support him, keep in mind the absolutely massive amount of traffic that's current going across it. If at first it times out, try try again later.

Guess it is not cool to post even hints of details of upcoming legislation on one's blog huh. In fact, it is illegal, against parliamentary protocol.
Why do you think there was a CRIMINAL investigation when the Liberals were giving advance notice of the Income Trust changes.
Garth really should know better.
Is there still time for him to join the Liberal leadership race? He's an independant now!
ooops, he made war with the Conservatives over floor crossing...
I wonder if the current 'leaks' came from his office???
Garth was punted out of caucus because he bad mouthed other MP's and the Prime Minister. He was punted out of the Conservative party for the exact same reasons Carolyn Parrish was punted from the Librals. How soon we forget.
Although as a Liberal I am very happy about this, I am still puzzled. I despise the Tories and their views, but thought they had better political judgement than this. Hopefully we can get him to cross the floor and join the Liberals. Either way, at least it will be next to impossible for the Tories to hold Halton unless they re-admit him.
Garth wouldn't have to cross the floor to join any party, he's an independent now, without party affiliation.
He still has to join the Liberals so that is in effect crossing the floor from being an independent. I doubt it will happen, but I hope it does.
I'm not sure that it would be helpful to have Garth in the Liberal party.
Imagine him openly disagreeing with the new party leader up to the next election.
He's better off as an independent or as a Green party member.
